Primary Education – Practising Philosophy with Children

In the subject "Practising Philosophy with Children", school pupils explore questions of human self-understanding based on real-life situations. They practise asking in-depth questions, thinking independently, and considering different perspectives. This approach fosters the ability to engage with underlying questions about meaning and values in an open and unbiased way. As a result, the subject also contributes to harmonious coexistence in a pluralistic society.

During the six modules of training at the University of Greifswald, future teachers are trained to create modern philosophy lessons for primary schools, incorporating the latest scientific and didactic insights.
